Is the ScootCoupe a car or a motorcycle?
The ScootCoupe is a motorcycle.
Do I need a motorcycle license to drive it?
The P50 model is classed as a moped/scooter in most states and requires no motorcycle license. Check with your local DMV for regulations pertaining to mopeds/ motorcycles. The P150 is classed as a motorcycle in most states and requires a motorcycle license to legally operate. California has a three-wheel motorcycle exemption which allows you to operate the ScootCoupe with a regular drivers license.
Are they street legal?
Yes, the Scootcoupe’s meet or exceed all Federal Safety standards for motorcycles and are street legal in all 50 states.
How fast do they go?
The P50 will cruise at 30 mph with 2 passengers and the P150 will travel at at a top speed of 55mph.
Do I have to wear a helmet?
Some states have helmet laws regarding the operation of scooters and motorcycle class vehicles. Check with your local police dept for laws in your state pertaining to helmets.
What is the gas mileage I can expect?
The ScootCoupe achieves 82 mpg in EPA testing. This test is conducted on a dyno with no passengers. Therefore expect 55-70 mpg depending on weight and terrain. The fuel tank in both models is 1.25 gallons so approximately 100 miles can be traveled on a tank of fuel.
Does the ScootCoupe come with a warranty?
All ScootCoupes come with a 1 year parts and labor warranty.
Where can I get my ScootCoupe serviced?
Any ScootCoupe retailer can service your ScootCoupe. If there is not one in your area, any professional scooter repair shop can easily service it.
Where is the ScootCoupe made?
ScootCoupes are built in our facility in Florida.
Where can I get parts for my ScootCoupe?
Parts can be purchased through any ScootCoupe dealer or from our parts department at the factory.
How are the ScootCoupes shipped?
All ScootCoupes are shipped fully assembled, just add gas and go. They are crated and transported via truck to your location. They can also be picked up uncrated at our factory.
How much does it cost to ship?
Shipping can cost anywhere from $200-$600 depending on your location. Please send an e-mail inquiry with your complete name, address and telephone number so we can get you an accurate quote. We can only ship to a business address with proper equipment to unload the crate, Ex: loading dock or forklift. We can also ship to a local terminal where you can pick it up.
How do I find a local dealer?

Does the ScootCoupe have a roof for rainy days?
An optional soft top is being developed and should be ready in fall of 2008.
What do I need to do to become a dealer?
Dealers are required to have all proper DMV dealer licenses from their home state. You can not re-sell new motor vehicles unless you have a dealer’s license.
